triple messy bun

This is my go-to hairstyle when my hair is quite greasy and refuses to look decent in a braid. I probably wear this style 1-2 times a week, on days I don’t wash my hair. I did this on 3rd day hair, with a touch of dry shampoo from the 2nd day (I try not to spray more dry shampoo after the 2nd day, as the dandruff tends to come out with multiple uses). This hairstyle has lasted me hours, whether it be full day hikes,  full day classes/work and it’s even held up after hour long naps. Because I like the messy and lived in look, I don’t ever comb my hair and it ends up looking a bit different every time. It keeps your hair out of your face and looks presentable on days where your hair may not be.

What you’ll need:
6 elastics
handful of bobby pins (I usually use quite a few to get the desired look)

What to do:
Essentially, you are making 3 pony tails down the back of your head, turning those ponytails into buns with another elastic (that really makes this hairstyle secure) and finally finishing off the look with as many bobby pins necessary for that extra level of security/desired look. Be sure to loosen the hair at the roots as you go, this removes the funny lines and gives the hairstyle a messy look.
